Meet Whit!
Whit is a clever combination of dachshund mixed with beagle / bulldog and he would really like to be your Valentine!
If you sit down, be prepared – Whit wants to be right next to you. Whit loves to curl up in the lap of his favorite people, and gives plenty of kisses! He can be a bit nervous of new people; introductions with new friends should be taken slowly. Whit loves to use that dachshund nose on a nice walk. He’ll pull you over to the best scents if you let him!
In the previous home, Whit was known to chase the kitty in the house, so a feline free home might be best. Whit tolerates the company of another dog with a laid back personality; he loves to go on social walks with dogs he has met, but may be a bit barky on leash when he sees another dog in the distance. He is somewhat overweight right now and would welcome a little more exercise combined with a bit healthier diet. Whit is already house trained and was trusted to be loose in the home when alone.
