PROVIDENCE. RI – From U.S. Coast Guard: Station Castle Hill and Air Station Cape Cod rescue crews are searching for a person in the water in Narragansett Bay after a running, unmanned 14-foot skiff was found 1.3 nautical miles south of Coggeshall Ledge. If you have information call, 508-457-3211.
Update: Coast Guard rescue crews will continue to search through the light and conduct a first light search for the potential missing boater.
Final update: Sector Southeastern New England watch standers and local PD located the owner of the vessel safely in his home. We’d like to remind mariners to double check their lines and make sure they vessel is secured before leaving their vessel.
