SOUTH DENNIS – From Dennis Fire: The Dennis Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 7:55 AM at 8 Sycamore Lane in South Dennis. The occupants of the house were alerted to the fire by the home’s smoke detectors and called the fire department. Upon arrival firefighters found the left rear outside corner of the house on fire. Two occupants of the home both stated they discarded smoking material outside onto the mulch next to the house. The home is owned by the Conner Family Trust. The fire department was assisted by the Dennis police and Brewster fire department. No one was injured during the incident.
