FALMOUTH – Falmouth Fire Rescue reports that Sunday night at approximately 9:55 PM, Engines 21, 22, and 24 along with Ladder 26 were dispatched to Scranton Avenue near the Clam Shack for multiple boats on fire. E21 arrived to find a 40′ charter boat heavily involved in fire, with fire impinging on 2 boats on the left and right as well as the dock. 2 attack lines were advanced and the fire was knocked down in about 30 minutess. A working fire was struck, bringing mutual aid station coverage from the Joint Base Cape Cod and Mashpee Fire Departments. There were no injuries and the fire is being investigated by the Falmouth Police and Fire.
