MASHPEE – The Mashpee Citizens Police Academy recently held a graduation celebration for its latest class.

Throughout the 10-week course, the group of 8 learned about several topics such as: search and seizures, Criminal Law, Constitutional Law and Policing in America.

They observed demonstrations from the K-9, SWAT and detective units. But the favorite part of the course by the participants were the ride-a-longs.

Chief Scott Carline presented each member with a formal certificate of completion and the members were then welcomed into the Citizens Police Alumni group.

The Lanes Bowl and Bistro donated pizzas for the celebration.
