Tip-A-Cop in Truro a big success

Acting Chief Craig Danziger serves dinner to patrons at Montano’s Restaurant. Owner Robert Montano looks on

TRURO
– Truro Police report that $4,100 was raised at the Tip-a-Cop fundraiser for the Special Olympics Friday night at Montanos Restaurant. Celebrity Waiters from the Truro Police Department helped waitstaff with serving of dinner and drinks to the many generous patrons. Special thanks to Chef/Owner Bob Montano and his entire staff for their involvement in making the fundraiser successful. Thanks to everyone who came out for dinner and donated. Shout out to all the Special Olympian Athletes who were on hand to greet everyone. This event could not have been successful without the help of Amy Rogers and her organizational skills.

The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community. Thanks again to everyone for making this event such a success.
