– Barnstable Police report that during the past month, Detective Dave Foley conducted an investigation into a suspected marijuana growing and cultivation operation at 740 Old Stage Road. The investigation included reports of an overwhelming smell of marijuana coming from the house. The investigation led to the issuance of a search warrant for the residence occupied by Christopher Wisniewski (left), 31, and Jordanka MacNeely (right), 26.

On Tuesday morning, Barnstable detectives executed the search warrant and encountered Wisniewski and Macneely at the residence. On the first floor, detectives located and seized approximately 3 pounds of marijuana packaged for sale, a large contractor bag containing dried marijuana, scales and packaging material. In a first-floor bedroom shared by Wisniewski and Macneely, detectives located and seized approximately $48,000 in cash.

In the basement, detectives located a sophisticated marijuana-growing operation using three separate rooms. The rooms contained approximately 112 potted plants in various stages of growth. Each room was complete with specialized equipment used for growing marijuana including air conditioning units, wall fans, air filters, grow lights, dehumidifiers and fertilizers.  Numerous harvested marijuana plants were drying from the basement ceiling and extended the length of the basement. This type of growing system is capable of yielding tens of thousands of dollars worth of illegal marijuana sales every eight to twelve weeks.

Wisniewski and Macneely were transported to the Barnstable Police Department and were arraigned in Barnstable District Court later Tuesday.
