I’m adding pasta-maker to my resume!

Do you know those people who ask for really weird gifts? Laundry sorter baskets, a leaf blower, a nail gun and a pasta maker have all graced my list of wants at one point or another for whatever occasion:  birthday, Christmas, anniversary. I’m a practical girl and get just as excited about a new pasta maker as I do a sparkly bauble.

For Christmas, I received a new pasta maker thanks to my amazing hubby. Pasta is best fresh, right?! I’m a busy gal who is now able to cut a couple corners and still get the same delicious result. And the plus side, the whole family got in on the pasta making fun!

We went ultra-basic and started with spaghetti. My kids couldn’t believe that pasta is just flour, water and egg. That’s it – three simple ingredients. Not only did it taste better because it was fresh, but it was made with love (disclaimer: not an actual ingredient per the FDA, but a major one at my house).

It was carb heaven! I’m thinking pasta making might just be our new family activity.
