One of the things I look forward to all year, is representing CCB Media, at the annual Best Buddies challenge, that ends at Craigville Beach. It’s a long day, but the time flies by.

Best Buddies raises a ton of money for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and have a great time doing it.

There is a 100, 50, and 20 mile bike ride, and a 5K run/walk. There is also a tandem bike race with celebrities, and some really awesome kids.

I get the assignment of trying to interview participants and the famous folks that are a part of it. I’ve seen and been to many events where famous people are around. This is one of the only events I’ve seen where everyone is there for the same reason. To make life better for people with disabilities. The famous are friendly, (Tom Brady is really tall, and Maria Menonous is really funny) the athletes are tired but fulfilled, and everyone has a great day on a Cape Cod beach!
