Watching a movie whether in theaters or from your couch is one of the best things to do when its raining outside. There are a number of theaters to choose from depending on where you are on the Cape or if they have nothing playing that interests you you can always check out what’s on TV.

Go to the Mall

Bored at the house? Going to the Cape Cod Mall is always an option. With tons of stores and places to eat, it will certainly keep you busy on a dreary rainy day.

The Cape is filled with many fantastic museums covering a variety of topics. Bring the kids to the Museum of Natural History in Brewster or head over to the Sandwich Glass Museum. There is also the Whydah museum in Provincetown if you are looking for something on pirates.

Go Bowling

Going bowling can be a great activity for the whole family. There are also games and arcades in many (but not all) of the bowling alleys. Be sure to check out locations like Ryan Family Amusements and the Lanes Bowl and Bistro.

Go to the Beach

If you are feeling adventurous, going out to the beach can be real blast. Normally we all go to the beach on warm and sunny days, but seeing the beach in a different light can be a real treat once in a while.

Read a Book

Sometimes just staying indoors with a good book is all that you need to keep yourself occupied. If you don’t feel like reading at home, hit up one of the many bookstores, coffee shops or libraries on the Cape.

Go out for Food

There are plenty of restaurants to pick from on the Cape, whether you feel like Mexican, Japanese, Thai or Italian, there is a restaurant for you. Be sure to check out these 33 fantastic seasonal restaurants when looking to eat on the Cape!
