CHATHAM – After 25 years of providing funds to children’s organizations and school in Chatham, and recently the Monomoy Regional School District, the Art of Charity Foundation will hold one final event.
A gathering will be held Saturday, June 29 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Chatham VFW to thank the community for its past support of the non-profit organization.
Art of Charity Foundation President Otis Russell said the organization will discorporate at the end of the year and that all money raised will be distributed.
The event will feature food, music and a silent auction with several one-of-a-kind items that harken back to the days of the charity’s gala art auctions.
Since the organization’s inception in 1994, it has donated more than $250,000 to school programs and local youth based groups, including Monomoy Community Services, Chatham Boy and Girl Scouts and the Chatham Teachers fund.
