BARNSTABLE – The Blue Economy Project is hosting a series of nine listening sessions throughout the Cape and Islands and Plymouth this month and early November.
The sessions begin on Monday in Provincetown and continue in Falmouth, Bourne, Centerville and Eastham before ending on November 2 on Nantucket.
Each session will begin with an overview of the Blue Economy Project, followed by an interactive facilitated discussion.
“The Blue Economy impacts all of us, but we all are beneficiaries of the Blue Economy, because without it, most of us wouldn’t be here one way or another,” said Director of Community Outreach Bert Jackson.
The sessions are free and open to the public and will be held from 5:30-8 p.m.
“We’re really counting on getting some feedback from our audience members about what they’re doing, how do they interact with the Blue Economy, what ideas do they have, you never know where some pocket of that one brilliant idea is going to come from,” said Jackson.
Pizza and beverages will be served at the events.
The Project is an initiative of the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce and is funded by a grant from the Seaport Economic Council.
The Project catalyzes the Cape Cod region’s coastal marine and aquatic-based economy to invigorate our resilient communities.
