Cape Cod Commission Seeks Applicants for License Plate Grants

BARNSTABLE – The Cape Cod Commission, through the Barnstable County License Plate Grant Program, is offering funding for local projects that improve the economy on Cape Cod.

The commission is looking for proposals from local government or nonprofit agencies looking for funding for projects that will help create and maintain a sustainable economy on the Cape.

“We’re looking for applications in 2 categories: micro-grants, for projects up to $10,000, and major grants which would be projects up to $150,000,” said Kristy Senatori, the Executive Director of the Cape Cod Commission.

Some possible example projects include economic development, housing, land use, natural resource protection, climate change, and coastal resiliency initiatives.

“We’re really pleased to be able to support regional projects and be able to provide—through the county and through the economic development council—an opportunity to support projects that really can have a long term impact on the economy on Cape Cod,” said Senatori.
