Cape Cod Company Donates Free Solar Panels to Hingham High School

DENNIS – A Dennis solar power company has donated solar panels to Hingham High School that will help provide 25 years of free electricity.

My Generation Energy contacted the town after hearing that an issue with a previous solar panel installation took the school’s solar array offline.

The panels donated by My Generation which were installed on the roof in February.

“We saw an opportunity to give these students the chance to take their learning outside of the classroom and see firsthand how solar energy works,” said Andrew Wade, President and CEO of My Generation Energy.

“Solar is a sustainable and affordable energy option that will undoubtedly power our future.”

The students will have online access to the system so they can monitor the energy production and understand how the production of the panels varies by season and temperature.
