Museum of Natural History to Host Conversation on Climate Change

BREWSTER – Have you ever wanted to engage in climate change conversation, but weren’t sure where to begin?

The Cape Cod Museum of Natural Hisstory is hosting a presentation on climate change this month.

Learn about strategic framing with Lindsay Jordan, a Senior Visitation Specialist at the New England Aquarium.

Strategic farming is an approach to climate change communication that combines climate science from Woods Hole scientists with sociological research, creating a strategy for engaging in productive, solution-oriented conversations.

Strategic framing helps connect information with values that Americans care deeply about, using concepts they already understand.

Lindsay Jordan is Senior Visitor Education Specialist at the New England Aquarium, where she has worked since 2010. She is also a facilitator through the National Network of Ocean and Climate Change Interpretation (NNOCCI), and has been travelling around the country teaching about climate change communication since 2011. Her degree is in Psychobiology.

Changing the Conversation of Climate Change will be held at the Cape Cod Museum of Natural History on March 30 at 1:00 p.m. The lecture is free with museum admission.
