Champ Homes Receives $5,000 Grant from TD Bank America

HYANNIS – Champ Homes was recently awarded a $5,000 award grant from TD Charitable Foundations—a sub-division of TD Bank America—to go towards their Transitional Housing Assistance Program.

The money comes via TD’s Ready Commitment, a branch actively promoting community and environmental well-being and inclusivity.

The Transitional Housing Assistance Program provides transitional housing to adults on Cape who are homeless or at “imminent risk of homelessness”.

The main focus of the program is providing assistance for immediate concerns like hot showers, clean towels, clothing and toiletries, mail service, a meal a day and food to make breakfast and lunch.

Participants in the program work with a team of coordinators to learn how to advocate and apply for housing for themselves, with the ultimate goal being for participants to get back on their feet and become self-sufficient again.

Champ Homes has served 2,700 individuals since the beginning of its Cape presence in 1991.
