Clothesline Project on Display Today

 

West Barnstable -The Clothesline Project, which seeks to bring attention to violence against women, will be on display today at Cape Cod Community College.

At 5:30 this evening a candlelight vigil will be held at the display, which consists of 800 t-shirts decorated by women affected by violence. They will be on display along a walkway in the center of campus.

The Project debuted in 1990 on the Hyannis Village Green with 31 shirts and has now spread nationally and to several foreign countries.

The shirts will be on display from 11-7 today.
