Community Forum in Falmouth to Focus on Addiction, Teen Brain Development

FALMOUTH – A community forum focusing on addiction and the adolescent brain will be held next month in Falmouth.

Increased attention is being dedicated to teen brain development and how it impacts how teens behave and take risks – such as using drugs or alcohol.

Parents and other community members can learn about what they can do to keep teens safer, healthier and substance free at the forum April 8 at noon at Falmouth High School.

The forum will feature a keynote speech from Dr. Ruth Potee and breakout sessions on topics including prescription drug awareness, youth intervention/treatment and the legalization of marijuana.

Lunch and childcare will also be provided.

Registration is encouraged. To register visit tinyurl.com/falmouthcares or contact Susan Clondas at Falmouth Human Services by calling 508-548-0533 extension 10.
