‘Constellations’ Returns to Cotuit Center for the Arts

COTUIT – A popular play is returning to the Cotuit Center for the Arts in December.

“Constellations,” a play by Nick Payne, will run from December 5-22 in the Black Box Theater. Performances are Thursday through Saturday at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m.

Science and romance collide in an unusual love story. Roland is a beekeeper, while Marianne expounds on cosmology, quantum mechanics, string theory and the belief that there are multiple universes that pull people’s lives in various directions.

Marianne and Roland’s relationships unfolds across time and space, as each new variation sends their relationship on a new trajectory.

Marianne is played by Emma Fitzpatrick, who has also appeared in “Sweeney Todd” and “We are the Champions” at Cotuit Center for the Arts.

Elliot Sicard plays Roland. Sicard recently starred in “Mary Poppins” at Cotuit Center for the Arts.

The play is directed by Jason Mellin.

Tickets are $20, $15 for members. To purchase tickets, visit www.artsonthecape.org or call 508-428-0669.
