Cotuit Center for the Arts to Present Staged Reading of ‘She Kills Monsters’

COTUIT – The Cotuit Center for the Arts’ 2nd Wednesday Theater will present a staged reading of “She Kills Monsters” next month.

The play is presented by Matt Kohler and the New Classics Theater Company on Wednesday, July 10 at 7:30 p.m. on the main stage.

Agnes Evans is a young woman grieving for her deceased teenaged sister, Tilly.

As she leaves her childhood home in Ohio, Agnes finds Tilly’s Dungeons & Dragons notebook containing a game scenario by her sister, whom she realizes she never really knew.

In order to unlock more secrets about her mysterious sister, Agnes recruits a dungeon master named Chuck to help her understand and grieve for Tilly and stumbles into a journey of self-discovery and adventure in the imaginary world her sister loved.

The play is a sweet tale of friendship, loss and acceptance, along with acknowledging the geek within us all.

Admission is free and wine is available for $5 a glass.
