Fundraiser to Benefit Cape Cod Cares for the Troops

Cape Cod Cares for Our Troops Filled Over 1,500 Care Packages For Overseas Troops This Weekend

FALMOUTH – Barnstable County Sheriff James Cummings and Special Sheriff Jeff Perry are hosting a fundraiser in support of Cape Cod Cares for the Troops next week.

Cape Cod Cares for the Troops provides support through mailing care packages to service members overseas.

While most of the items in the packages are donated, the cost of postage must be paid by the organization with an average cost of $18 per package.

The fundraiser on Thursday, October 24 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the Flying Bridge Restaurant in Falmouth will raise money for postage costs.

Donations in any amount are appreciated. The event will include appetizers and a cash bar.
