Gas Prices Fall, But Cape Motorists Still Pay More Than Most

BARNSTABLE – Gas prices continue to fall across the state, but motorists on the Cape are still seeing some of the highest prices in Massachusetts.

The statewide average has fallen to $2.57 per gallon, but the average in Barnstable sits at $2.73, according to AAA Southern New England.

That IS 38 cents lower than a month ago and 74 cents cheaper than a year ago.

The national average is $2.39 per gallon.
