Hyannis to Host Free Live Music Concerts Every Saturday

HYANNIS – If you’ve been searching for free weekend entertainment, spending a Saturday afternoon in Hyannis could pay off.

Area residents are welcome to enjoy free and live music at the Hyannis HyArts Artist Shanties at Bismore Park every Saturday for the next month. The concerts will run through September until Saturday, October 6.

The free concerts begin at 2:00 p.m. and will go until 3:30 p.m., featuring the Kareem Sanjaghi Trio, the Wicked Trio, Jeffrey Ashur Trio, Donn Legge Band, Bert Jackson, and the Skiffs, who will play at least once during the six-week series.

The Jeffrey Ashur Trio will be entertaining the crowd with a jazz concert during the next scheduled event on September 15.

The Bismore Park Artist Shanties are located at 180 Ocean Street in Hyannis, next to the Bismore Park Visitor Center.

The shanties feature a variety of handmade and handcrafted artwork, and are open seven days a week until Columbus Day. Visitors to the harbor side shanties will also get the opportunity to meet artists and artisans. You can find out more about the artists and the artist shanty program by visiting ArtsBarnstable.com.
