Local Housing Organization Benefits from Part of $15.9M

HYANNIS – A local housing initiative will benefit from part of $15.9 million in grants from the state.

The money is part of regional efforts to boost community health access and elder services.

Locally, the money will benefit the Community Development Partnerships’ Lower Cape Community Housing initiative, which helps train municipal officials on affordable housing issues and strategies.

With the funds, the program will expand their community organization component to support land use policies.
