Global Ocean Temperatures Hit New Record

HYANNIS – The temperature of the world’s oceans reached new known record highs last week, according to scientists.

The European Copernicus Observatory reports that ocean surface temperatures hit just below 70 degrees, breaking previous records set in March of 2016.

The data comes as more southern species of fish have been spotted in Cape Cod’s waters.
