Local Realtors Report Decrease in Home Sales for July, Increase in Media Sale Price

WEST YARMOUTH – The Cape Cod & Islands Association of Realtors is reporting a drop in the number of homes sold in July but an increase in median sale price.

There were 411 homes sold last month, 330 single family and 81 condominiums, which was down from 448 homes in July 2017.

The median sale price increased from $379,500 last year to $439,700.

There was also an 8.2 percent decrease in sales pending at the end of the month compared to last year.

New listings in July increased 19.5 percent from last year for single-family homes to 563 and 28.2 percent for condos to 141.
