Mystic Seaport says the Mayflower II arrived there Saturday afternoon.

The ship left Plimoth Plantation in Plymouth on Tuesday.

It then stayed in New Bedford, Massachusetts to wait for favorable weather.

The Mayflower II was built in 1957. The 106-foot ship was towed to Mystic by a tug.

The seaport says it was a smooth trip.

In Connecticut, shipwrights and maritime artisans will replace the half-deck area and work on the tween deck and topmast rigging.

Plimoth Plantation and Mystic Seaport expect to plan opportunities for the public to see the ship over the winter.

The Mayflower II will return to Plymouth in the spring.
