Newcomb Hollow Beach Closed after Buoy Detects Tagged Shark

WELLFLEET – Newcomb Hollow Beach in Wellfleet was closed again Tuesday morning due to shark activity.

According to the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy’s Sharktivity app, the beach was closed around 9:20 a.m. after a buoy was pinged by a tagged great white shark.

The beach was closed for at least an hour, pending any further sightings.

Newcomb Hollow was closed Monday morning after a shark sighting. Several other beaches on the Outer Cape were closed throughout Monday for shark activity.
