HYANNIS – The latest round of winter weather delivered a couple of inches of snow overnight and prompted several school delays on Cape Cod.
The snow began late Wednesday night and continued into early Thursday, leaving anywhere from 2 to 4 inches across the area.
By 6 a.m., most areas were reporting just over 2 inches, with higher amounts on the Upper Cape and just off Cape in Southeastern Massachusetts.
The snow was expected to end by late morning, leaving just clouds for the remainder of the day.
Most school districts had 2-hour delays, giving plows time to clear the roads.
Another weather system with a wintry mix was expected for later in the day on Saturday.
