BARNSTABLE – The annual Pan-Mass Challenge continues today as thousands of bicyclists will travel across Cape Cod.

Riders took off from Bourne at sun rise this morning and will continue throughout the day to Provincetown.

Local police are warning motorists to expect delays throughout the morning and into the early afternoon as riders complete the trek across the Cape.

The bike-a-thon raises funds for cancer treatment and research at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute through the Jimmy Fund.

The goal of the challenge this year is to raise $45 million pushing the 35-year total over a half billion dollars.
