Red Sox Trophy Coming to Cape Cod Next Week

HYANNIS – The Red Sox World Series trophy will be making an appearance on Cape Cod next week.

The 2018 trophy will be in Hyannis to help raise money for the Hyannis Athletic Association, the non-profit organization behind the Hyannis Harbor Hawks of the Cape Cod Baseball League.

All the proceeds from the event will go toward the group’s field improvement campaign. The Association has already received $700,000 to make upgrades at Judy Walden Scarafile Field at McKeon Park, the home of the Harbor Hawks.

Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children 6-10, with no charge for kids 5 and younger. Attendees will have a photo opportunity with the trophy.

The event will be held at Cape Cod Beer from 6:30 to 9 p.m. on February 6.

The Red Sox are coming off their fourth championship of the new century in 2018. They set a team record 108 wins in the regular season and finished the year with 119 wins in total, including the playoffs.
