WAREHAM – A 26 year old Rhode Island man will be arraigned today on a number of charges in connection with an armed home invasion in Wareham.
Police say John Peckham had a sawed off shotgun when he broke into a unit at the Brandy Hill Apartments and demanded money from the residents. Two of the residents were able to wrestle the unloaded gun away from Peckham, who was arrested a short time later.
Nobody was injured.
Police say the residents and Peckham know each other.
Peckham is charged with armed home invasion, carrying a firearm without a license, possession of a sawed off shotgun, possession of a firearm with a defaced serial number.
