DENNIS PORT – A roadway reconstruction project on Route 28 in Dennis Port is scheduled to begin after Labor Day.
The MassDOT pavement rehabilitation project work will be conducted from Dennis Commons to Upper County Road and will include drainage installation, sidewalks, concrete driveways, brick walls, signs, flashing beacons and tree and shrub trimming.
Work hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Columbus Day before they expand to 7 to 3:30.
Police details will manage traffic through the work area during work hours. Lane closures with alternating, one-way traffic are expected.
A completion date for the project is fall of 2020.
