“Rock to Stop Homelessness” Fundraiser set for Saturday in Orleans

ORLEANS – The Homeless Prevention Council will host their annual “Rock to Stop Homelessness” fundraiser tonight in Orleans.

The event will include live music from the ‘60s cover band, The Broughmans, dancing, a 50/50 raffle, and an auction.

All proceeds raised will go to the programs at the HPC, which try and prevent homelessness on the Lower Cape.

Last year the “Rock to Stop Homelessness” event raised $23,370 and this year the Homeless Prevention Council is looking to top that goal.

Since 1991 the Council has been working to, “Provide case management solutions to support self-sufficiency and stability in our community of Lower Cape Cod.”

Staffed with three trained and experienced case managers, the Homeless Prevention Council provides professional counseling and guidance to those at risk of becoming homeless.

The HPC serves clients in Brewster, Chatham, Eastham, Harwich, Orleans, Provincetown, Truro, and Wellfleet.

The “Rock to Stope Homelessness” Fundraiser is set to take place tonight, Saturday, November 16th starting at 6 p.m. at Hog Island Brewery in Orleans.

There is a $20 minimum donation requirement which includes entertainment and snacks. There will also be a cash bar.
