CHATHAM – The Atlantic White Shark Conservancy and Mass Audubon’s Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary are hosting FINomenal Fest on Saturday.

The second annual event will be held at Chatham’s Kate Gould Park from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The free, full-day event features shark-themed games for kids and families and shark information.

“It’s a nice way to learn more about sharks and the work that Wellfleet Bay and the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy are doing,” said Emily Wolfe, day camp director at Chatham and Wellfleet Bay.

The day begins with a free film at 10 a.m. at the Orpheum Theater called “Great White Shark”.

Activities at Kate Gould Park include shark face painting and a chance to have a picture taken with a shark.

The Chatham Cultural Council, the Women’s Club of Chatham and the Chatham Clothing Bar are among the sponsors of the fest.

“All of the money raised from FINomenal Fest actually helps to support local Chatham children going to day camp, at the day camp they learn more about Cape Cod habitats and ecology which is awesome,” said Wolfe.
