BARNSTABLE – Jack Stanton, running for the State Representative in the 5th Barnstable District, is being supported by Progressive Massachusetts, a group that organizes to effect progressive change.
The group said in a statement: “The voters of the 5th Barnstable district are lucky to have Jack Stanton as a candidate. Jack is ready to fight for more transparent, accountable government; for achieving true universality in our healthcare system and for investing in education and infrastructure, the bedrock of our economy. And with the communities in the district being especially vulnerable to climate change, they need a representative like Jack who understands the importance of ensuring that Massachusetts leads the nation in taking bold climate action.”
Stanton in return said he is delighted with the support of the group. Stanton is taking on incumbent Republican Randy Hunt.
