Steamship Authority to Consider Fare Hikes Tomorrow

FerryOAK BLUFFS – Steamship Authority officials will consider multiple fare hikes at their meeting in Oak Bluffs tomorrow.

The Martha’s Vineyard Times reports the organization is facing a 1.9 million dollar shortfall in its operating budget.

Officials will look at raising fares on both passenger and excursion rates, while also increasing parking fees at its lots in Falmouth.
