Students Can Apply For Culinary Scholarship With Arts Foundation

The Arts Foundation of Cape Cod has partnered with Falmouth’s Eat Your Heart Out Catering to offer a scholarship to a student who wishes to obtain a degree in the culinary arts.

Sean Dailey, a chef for 23 years and owner of Eat Your Heart Out, is the ideas brainchild.  He believes that like painting, music and poetry, cooking is an art form.

Arts Foundation Executive Director Julie Wake said that applying is easy.

“It works like any other scholarship for high school seniors going off to study.  There’s a couple of essays and possibly an interview.  It’s an easy application process.”

A Pops by the Sea concert that Dailey catered, brought him together with the AFCC.

Wake said it was a natural fit.  “Our mission is to support, promote and celebrate the arts and culture of the cape, and working in the culinary arts is such a key part of things that happen here.”

Those interested can go to the AFCC’s website at www.Artsfoundation.org.  The deadline is March 1st and the recipient will be announced in April.
