Sturgis Ranked As Top High School in Massachusetts

KA_Hyannis_Sturgis Charter school_111315HYANNIS – A Cape Cod High School has once again been named the top high school in the state.

The annual rankings from U.S News and World Report puts Sturgis Charter Public School at number one in Massachusetts, and 33rd overall in the United States. Sturgis was also named the 11th best charter school in the country.

Boston Latin School, Advanced Math and Science Academy Charter School in Marlborough, Medfield High, and Hopkinton High round out the top 5 statewide.

2016 is the second straight year that Sturgis has received the top statewide honors.

Two other Cape schools cracked the top 100 in Massachusetts: Chatham at 48 and Falmouth at 75.

Chatham High School, which no longer exists after Chatham and Harwich merged their high schools, is apart of the rankings since the statistics used to compile the list were from the final year before the merger.
