Cape Cod Teen Sentenced To Probation For Alleged Racial Incident

CHATHAM – A Cape Cod teenager has been sentenced in juvenile court to probation for an alleged racially-motivated incident.

The 15-year-old boy was also ordered to perform over 700 hours of community service for the incident in the summer of 2023 at Goose Pond in Chatham which involved the attempted drowning of another teenager who was Black.

The defendant pleaded guilty to attempted murder and assault with a dangerous weapon.
