Tilden Arts Center to Present Award-Winning Play

WEST BARNSTABLE – An award winning play will be performed throughout April at Cape Cod Community College’s Tilden Arts Center.

Based on a novel by Mark Haddon and adapted by Simon Stephens, “The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time” will run from April 4-20 in the Black Box Studio.

The show is part of the College’s “One College One Book” program.

A winner of seven 2013 Olivier Awards and five Tony Awards in 2015, “Curious” follows the story of Christopher, a 15-year-old boy with an extraordinary brain. He is exceptional at mathematics but struggles to interpret everyday life.

Melinda Gallant, who recently directed “Over the River and Through the Woods,” will serve as the show’s director.

Cape Cod Community College student Andrew Gates will star in the role of Christopher.

The show contains some strong language, along with high intensity video, light and sound effects.

Tickets are $25, $20 for seniors & military personnel, and $15 for 4Cs faculty and staff.

Tickets may be reserved or purchased by calling the Tilden Arts Center Box Office or by visiting tildenartscenter.eventbrite.com.
