Wampanoag Tribal Health Fair to Focus on Substance Abuse

Wamoanoag Tribe LogoMASHPEE – “Stomping the Substance” is the theme of this year’s Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal Health Fair.

The event, which will be on Saturday, October 17 at the tribe’s Community and Government Center on Great Neck Road South in Mashpee, will bring healthcare organizations and professionals to provide support to fight substance abuse.

Attendees can also learn about how Wampanoag culture and traditions can be used to prevent drug abuse.

The event is free and open to the public from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The fair will also include food, crafts, raffles and door prizes along with traditional drumming and dancing exhibitions.

The Tribal Health Fair is organized by the Mashpee Wampanoag Tribal Health Services Department.
