Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary Hosting Another Bird Walk

WELLFLEET – The Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary is hosting another popular Early Bird Walk at Wellfleet Bay.

On Friday, October 26 participants will experience the best of morning bird activity with the guidance of a Wellfleet Bay naturalist on a walk along Goose Pond Trail. The diverse natural beauty of the trail offers great bird sightings from pine woodlands and the freshwater pond to the salt marsh and beach.

The walk provides a great introduction to the birds of Cape Cod and appropriate for all age levels. Participants are encouraged to bring a pair of binoculars for optimal bird sighting.

Organizers ask that those participating to check-in 10 minutes before the start of the program, dress appropriately for the weather and to wear comfortable walking shoes.

The walk takes place from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at Wellfleet Bay. Log on to the Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary’s website to register.
