Whelan Receives Endorsement from State Engineers & Scientists Union

BREWSTER – The Massachusetts Organization of State Engineers and Scientists has endorsed the re-election campaign of 1st Barnstable State Representative Tim Whelan (R-Brewster).

The labor union has more than 3,300 members in career fields that include wage enforcement, water quality scientists, regional planners, environmental engineers, hazardous materials professionals, and civil and construction engineers.

MOSES President Joseph Dorant said the organization is proud to stand with Whelan as he continues to fight for working families, stand with us on labor issues, and advocate to improve our transportation infrastructure.

“I am very proud of the strong relationship President Dorant and I have built through my work as the Ranking member on the Joint Committee on Public Service and through his strong advocacy on behalf of his membership”, Whelan said in a statement.  “I am honored to have the support and endorsement of the hard working women and men represented by MOSES, many of whom I have worked alongside during my nearly three decade career in public safety”.

Whelan faces a challenge from Brewster Democrat Steve Leibowitz in November.
