This holiday season, Cape Cod Broadcasting Media, Child and Family Services and Mid-Cape Home Centers have reached out to the Cape Cod community to make sure the families in our own neighborhoods do not go without this Christmas. Client is a 27 year old woman who has experienced some chronic health issues and trauma that limits her ability to work full time. She got married this year and has 2 amazing step kids (twins) who both have physical disabilities. Ct has been engaged in therapy for several years and has worked hard to overcome debilitating anxiety and PTSD symptoms, create a healthy future and foundation for herself and her family, and create a solid support system. Client is particularly motivated to grow and feel more confident in who she is, provide for her family on their first Christmas together as a family, and advocate for her mental health needs. Family specifically requests some new blankets and pillows for the kids, comforter set for queen bed. Gift cards: grocery stores (Shaws or Stop & Shop), Amazon or Target. The family has a small dog, requests some new dog toys if possible. Child #1: 6 year old female with CP; needs specifically knee pads, elbow pads, and protective gloves. Requests a karaoke machine. Loves Frozen, dolls, princesses, stuffed animals, Hello Kitty. Requests girl superhero toys. Needs new underwear, socks, winter jacket (size 6-7), leggings. Shoe size is 10/11. favorite color- pink, blue, rainbow. Child #2: 6 year old male. Loves spiderman, cars and trains, superheroes, dinosaurs, soccer. Requests a skateboard and a soccer ball. Needs some new sneakers and tshirts/pants (size 6-7), winter jacket. favorite color is red, blue, green. Parent/guardian #1: Mother would love big soup/cereal bowls, perfume, candles. Loves Bath & Body Works and make up (Ulta Beauty). Would love a gift card for Barnes & Noble for books and journals. New slippers. Parent/guardian #2: Father needs 2XL mens size work hoodies, winter jacket, mens boots or sneakers (size 12), mens body wash/shampoo/aftershave.
