We all know that Christmas is the time of giving… But all too often, we overlook giving to the people who need our help the most. This holiday season, Cape Cod Broadcasting Media, Child and Family Services and Mid-Cape Home Centers have reached out to the Cape Cod community to make sure the families in our own neighborhoods do not go without this Christmas. This is a 14 year old girl who recently was in a residential program for self harm and anxiety/depression. Since starting at a new school this year, client has improved in using mindfulness and coping skills to improve her mood and relaitonships. Client lives at home with Mom who is in recovery; previously family dynamics have been difficult between mom and daughter but the family has been working towards being a team and communicating effectively. Money is often an issue outside of the necessities so being able to receive christmas gifts this year would be a huge blessing to this family. Child #1: 14 year old teenager- requests black leggings and casual shirts in size women's 14-16. Likes arts and crafts. Gift cards: five below, marshalls, Shoe size 8- sneakers and slippers. Parent/guardian 1: Mom; requests a new comforter and sheet set for queen size (purple). Gfitcards: Big Lots, Stop & Shop.
