Lions’ Senior co-captain Kevin Marsh led all scorers in this affair with 18 points, junior forward Jonny Warden turned in a stellar double-double with 11 points and 10 boards and Tim Jordan added 10 points. Senior center Ryan Barabe turned in a solid six-point, eight-rebound effort and Diego Meritus dished out eight assists to go along with six points.

All totaled, the Lions hammered down eight three-pointers in the game and outscored Cape Tech 47-24 in the second half.

Cape Tech’s Alonzo Johnson handed in one of his top performances of the season with a team-high 17 points, followed by Jordan Lewis and Sean Campbell each with 12 points. Campbell netted a trio of downtown treys.

The Lions finished the first quarter just ahead of the visiting Crusaders, 18-14, but then Cape Tech held the hosts at bay in the second frame to take a two-point lead into intermission. Once the Lions got back on top in the third, it is there that they stayed through the end of the game.

Cape Tech drops to 5-13 on the season with the loss.

The Lions face a tough Monomoy team in a make-up game this week.
