Fusaro poured in 21 points and pulled down nine rebounds while teammates Matt Correia and Justin Halford each had 10 points to show for their efforts.
Sturgis East’s Jake Tobey was the high scorer for the Storm, dumping in 15 hard-earned points, while Cole Woodbury had 10 points.
Jake Lamotte, Evan Tambert, Sawyer Gibbons and Tobey all hit three-pointers for the hosts.
The Storm never really had a chance for a comeback as the visiting Whalers staged a 24-12 first quarter lead, built that to a 43-23 lead at the half and were up 62-35 by the end of the third quarter.
Sturgis has to win the remainder of its regular season games in order to qualify for the postseason while Nantucket has already clinched a spot.
