WELLFLEET – Power went out to a large area of the Outer Cape about 10:15 PM. The problem was reported to be a fire at this substation on Old Kings Highway at Gross Hill Road in Wellfleet possibly involving a transformer. Firefighters were standing by for Eversource who arrived about 11 PM. All of Provincetown, Truro, and Wellfleet were out along with parts of Eastham affecting an estimated 15,000 customers. Much of the power appeared to be restored about 11:30 PM.
