The Cape Wide News mobile unit was out showing road conditions live:

3:00 PM update: Radar shows the heaviest of the snow moving out to sea. Please allow road crews time to catch up and clean up. There are still trees and wires down on some roadways. Always assume downed wires are live. Nearly 13,000 Eversource customers are without power across the Cape at this hour. Crews will work as quickly as possible when safe to restore service. As of this hour there have been no reports of coastal issues.

4:00 PM update: Surfs up as shown by Bourne Police above. Still no reports of coastal flooding. Power outages have leveled off and crews are working to restore service. Route 28 in Falmouth by Thomas B. Landers Road has reopened.

Earle Street Beach in Harwich Port

6:00 PM update: All warnings have been discontinued except for a Coastal Flood Advisory for the next high tide around 2 AM. Some areas received up to 9 inches of snow. Power outages have swelled to nearly 25,000. 7,700 of those are in Barnstable with 6,700 in Dennis.

Route 28 in Dennis

7:00 PM update: Reports of wires down in the area Route 6A & Willow Street in Yarmouth Port forcing traffic detours. Temperatures are falling tonight so slush will refreeze causing slippery travel to persist overnight into the morning.

8:00 PM update: We feel for those of you sitting in the dark bundled up waiting for power to be restored. At 6 PM we reported nearly 25,000 customers without power on the Cape. At this hour that number is down to just over 20,000. The Eversoure map above shows all the current outages. Each bubble represents an incident. Small correction here: the numbers represent the number of customers involved in that incident. It is time consuming, not just putting wires back up and flipping a few switches. Tree limbs must be removed and damaged equipment replaced first. Extra crews are out there and working on larger outages first. CWN will continue to follow the power restoration efforts.

11:00 PM update: Power restoration continues. 13,400 customers still without power, down from 20,000 at 8 PM. 10,000 of those are in Barnstable and Dennis.
